Like many women, I have many occasions where I want to offer support or convey a gift message, often to family and friends across the country. Doing it in a way that was uniquely special, luxurious, and feminine became the idea behind our web-based business and name change to A Gift Wrapped Life. You may know of us from our former name of Oooh la la Cadeau. In the past three years, we have shipped our boxed gifts to women across North America and watched as an interesting thing happened. Content to just enjoy the presentation, women would wait days to open our gifts. Once opened, it often became their most memorable gift experience. Our customers inspired me to wrap better, be more creative and tell them all about it.
The Blog
As our business grew, so did my passion for sharing the pleasure of beautiful gifting.
A Gift Wrapped Life started as a blog on a cold, wintery day in February 2009.
As I blogged about gifts and gift wrapping (and a bit of design and fashion) I noticed
that women love gifts, but the presentation can be just as meaningful to them. They
simply love the thought and effort that goes into presenting a beautiful gift. As the blog grew so did the question …..am I being fair showing readers how to gift wrap but then not offer the tools? My answer is a unique gift wrap concept and one that I hope will bring you much pleasure. My intention was to make it easy, affordable, and remarkably
special.
The Background
When it became time to change gears, re-focus, and follow a new passion in 2005 after
20 years of successful interior design, it was a given that I turn to the art of gifting. It is
one of my most pleasurable and creative outlets. Along with sharing many elements
of design, it was the message behind gifting that appealed to me the most. I anticipate
